What is the MusicTeacherNotes messaging system and how does it work?
The MusicTeacherNotes messaging system streamlines communication between music teachers, students, and parents, ensuring important messages are received and read. This tool supports three types of messages and provides options to send, schedule, or save messages as drafts.
Accessing the Messaging System
From the main menu, click Student Management
Select Message Students
Types of Messages
Newsletter Messages
Sent to multiple families at once
Delivered to the student’s email and visible in their family account
Ideal for announcements like recitals, schedule changes, or events
Can be sent immediately, scheduled, or saved as a draft
Teacher-to-Student Messages
Sent directly to an individual student
Delivered by email if the student has one, or shown in their MusicTeacherNotes account
Supports two-way communication in a chat-thread format
Teacher-to-Parent Messages
Sent directly to a specific parent or guardian (not visible to younger students)
Delivered by email and displayed in the parent’s family account
