What is the MusicTeacherNotes Reminders Feature and How Does It Work?

The MusicTeacherNotes reminders feature helps music teachers easily notify students (and parents) about important items, payments, or events they need to remember. Whether it’s returning a borrowed item, paying for music books, or remembering an upcoming event, this tool makes it simple to keep students accountable without stress.

How to Add a Reminder

• From the main menu, select Student Management ? Student Reminders.
• Type your reminder.
• Set the duration:
  • Expire after next lesson
  • Expire on a specific future date
  • Remain active indefinitely (useful for ongoing items until resolved)
• Select the student or multiple students to receive the reminder.
• Click Set Reminder.

When to Use Reminders

• Remind students to return borrowed items.
• Notify them of outstanding balances for books, supplies, or services.
• Inform multiple students at once about events or policy changes.

How Students See Reminders

• In the Family and Student account, reminders appear as clear notifications.
• Students can hide a reminder, but it will reappear periodically until it’s resolved.
• Reminders are also emailed to parent accounts for increased visibility.
