For over 15 years, Andréa has been helping voices bloom—from tiny tots just finding their pitch to singers fine-tuning their craft. Her musical journey began at age four on the piano bench and continued through post-secondary studies, where she accompanied fellow vocal majors. Playing for other singers gave her a front-row seat to the magic of the human voice—and sparked a deep love for vocal music and performance. Andréa first explored Musical Theatre and Vocal Jazz before diving into classical and operatic voice training. That mix of styles brings both creativity and structure to her teaching. She focuses on healthy vocal technique and uses the Royal Conservatory Syllabus as a guide. Many of her students complete annual RCM exams and consistently do an amazing job! She also teaches music theory, sight-reading, and diction to help her students become confident, well-rounded musicians. Her singers regularly take the stage at recitals and festivals around the Okanagan—many of whom have received scholarships in both Classical Voice and Musical Theatre. Several have gone on to compete at the provincial level or pursue music at the post-secondary level. When she’s not teaching, you’ll find Andréa directing the Shuswap Intergenerational Choir, bringing voices of all ages together in harmony. From her cozy home studio in Salmon Arm, she offers 30-, 45-, and 60-minute lessons filled with encouragement, energy, and a whole lot of love for singing!
