I am Leonid Kolessov, an award-winning guitarist and composer with over 40 years of international performing and teaching experience. I studied at the Professional School of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, graduating as a performer and guitar teacher. I have performed as a soloist with the Yaroslavl Philharmonic, founded the first Classical Guitar Department in Rybinsk, and created the TV program World of Guitar. My career has taken me on tours across the United States and Europe, led to multiple album recordings, and inspired the publication of my own books of compositions. Trained in classical guitar yet deeply influenced by flamenco and Romani music, I offer students a rich and versatile learning experience. I hold a Master’s degree in Music Pedagogy and Research, and have taught at leading conservatories and universities in Ecuador. Many of my students have gone on to perform professionally and win competitions. Through my website, www.guitargoldenhands.com, my music reaches guitarists worldwide, and I provide personalized lessons—both in person and online—designed to inspire, challenge, and help each student reach their full potential.
