Hayley Ziebart

My name is Hayley Ziebart. I am a wife of 23+ years, a cancer survivor, a mom to FOUR boys, aged across two generations and a driven music teacher over the course of nearly 20+ years of experience. I hold a B.M.Me with a license and focus of K-12 education and vocal/choral conducting. I have played the piano since the age of 4 and continued my private study of it well into my early college years. After teaching in various positions at all grade levels in both public and private schools as well as even a junior college for a collective 7 years, I opened my own private music studio—which I ran (in-person) for 15+ years, juggling an average of 30 students, per year. In the summer of 2023, a job offer for my spouse moved us far away—at which point, I took my remaining students who desired to continue, to an online platform where my studio now functions. I like to say that my passion for teaching was innate, but it was really in my early middle-school years that I formally decided being a music teacher was a goal. Not only do I have a deep passion for teaching, but I also have a sincere and ‘nerdy love’ for all things music—so the two as a pair were my ‘perfect career.’ I deeply value the relationships I develop with each one of my students. They are all such different people, but helping each to reach their fullest musical potential brings me indescribable pride and joy to call this ‘my job.’ I am so blessed and grateful that I get to do this, now with the help of awesome technology, and pray that I can continue to reach new heights and feats not just for my students’ growth-sake, but also for what I learn from them and each new circumstance and challenge that is presented. As I like to say…music is immensely inspiring and so deeply impactful that the ONLY thing better than making it myself, is teaching others to do so, also.
