Leah Connelly

I’m Leah Connelly, a dedicated piano teacher with over 30 years of experience and a Master's degree in Music Performance from Marshall University. I am currently the music teacher and choir director of St. Francis of Assisi School in St. Albans, West Virginia. My passion is helping each student find both joy and skill in playing music. I help my students develop skill and passion for playing the piano by connecting on their level and catering to their interests, while also employing strong knowledge of music, theory, history, and technique. If you want to learn classical, blues, pop, chords, or write your own music, I can help you. We will play to your strengths and interests while working on areas that need improvement. Lessons are structured but relaxed, and I strive to bring compassion and a listening ear to each lessons. I'd rather my students look forward to lessons and practicing rather than seeing it as a chore. When not teaching piano, you may find me crocheting, writing, or exploring nature.
