Founded over three years ago, GT Piano Studio has quickly grown into a welcoming place for quality music education. At the heart of the studio is Grace Heavens, who brings over 15 years of formal study, performance experience, and ongoing professional development, including mentorship under Jill Foster Piano Studio. Grace designs each lesson to build strong technique, foster musical expression, and spark a lifelong love of the piano. Students begin with a solid foundation in piano skills, music theory, and performance etiquette, then progress into advanced studies through the Oregon Music Teachers Association (OMTA) Piano Syllabus—a structured path for refining skill and artistry. Along the way, students can take part in nationally recognized programs such as the National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC) Piano Festivals and OMTA Syllabus Examinations, celebrating both discipline and achievement. They also showcase their growth in two annual recitals: a festive December performance and a joyful spring recital to close the year. At GT Piano Studio, every student is supported with expert instruction, meaningful opportunities, and a nurturing environment that inspires passion, persistence, and confidence in their musical journey. Students (Parents for younger students) will need to register for a free MusicTeacherNotes account. If you are a current student of mine at GT Piano Studio and haven't registered your MusicTeacherNotes account, please click the orange button below. You will use the studio code (HDQNF) to connect your family account to my teacher account.
MusicTeacherNotes is free for students. They have an upgradable option available, called the Gold Plan, but upgrading is not required. I can manage our music lessons whether you use their free account or their Gold account.
MusicTeacherNotes helps music teachers manage their students and helps students learn music faster. By empowering parents and students to get much more out of private music lessons, learning music becomes a better experience for everyone.
