The Library in MusicTeacherNotes is your personal hub for storing, organizing, and sharing teaching resources with your students. Your Private Library is a collection of videos, files, and links that only you can see—unless you choose to share them with connected students.

Using the Library effectively can help your students learn faster, improve lesson quality, and make your teaching business more efficient.

Private Library

Your Private Library is where you save and manage your own teaching resources. You can add:

• Videos – Upload your own instructional videos or save YouTube videos.
• Documents – PDFs, Word files, text files, and images.
• Links – Helpful websites, music theory tools, or other online resources.

Examples of useful resources include:

• Quiz generators like Quizlet, Quizizz, and Quiz-Maker for music theory or ear training quizzes.
• Music theory resources designed for students, especially those that explain concepts in a kid-friendly or interactive way.
• YouTube videos that reinforce lesson content or demonstrate techniques.

You can share any item from your Private Library with connected students. Students can then access these resources anytime between lessons.

Adding Resources to Your Private Library

Step 1: Access the Library

1. From any page, click the Library option at the top of the screen.
2. Select Add Files, Videos, and Links.

To Upload a Video:

1. Click Choose File and select the video from your computer.
2. Add a title, description, and tags.
3. Click Upload Video and remain on the page until the upload completes. The video will process in the background.

To Upload a Document:

1. Click Choose File and select your document.
2. Add a title, description, and tags.
3. Click Upload File.

To Add a Website Link or YouTube Video:

1. Select Save a Link.
2. Paste the URL.
3. Add a title, description, and keywords.
4. Click Save Link.

Tip: For YouTube videos, use the Share button to copy the link. Students will be able to clip and slow down the video within MusicTeacherNotes—helping them focus on specific sections.

Teaching Ideas with the Private Library

• Record yourself demonstrating songs you teach and upload the videos. Share them when assigning the songs to students.
• Encourage students to video you playing during lessons, then add those videos to their Private Library (and yours, if desired).
• Upload PDFs like note flashcards or chord diagrams for quick student access.
• Save online resources, theory pages, or quiz links for future lessons.
