How do I see my student's music journal?

The Student Music Journals page provides a centralized view of each student’s music lessons, assignments, and other lesson-related details, making it easy to track progress and manage practice goals.

Selecting a Student

• If you teach at multiple studios, use the drop-down menu to select the applicable studio.
• Select the student whose lesson journals you want to view.

Viewing Lesson Journal Entries

• Journal entries are organized by lesson date.
• Numbers next to each lesson date show how many assignments were added for that specific lesson.
• Click on any lesson to view:
  • Information from the previous lesson.
  • Details for the current lesson.
  • Plans for the next lesson.

Adding Practice Assignments

• Click the Add Practice Assignments button to add new music or skills for the student to work on.
• Students can then choose these assignments when creating their practice plans in their MusicTeacherNotes family accounts.

Viewing Practice Logs

• Click the Open Practice Plan button to see a record of the practice the student has logged for their assignments.
