How do I see my student's music journal?

The Student Music Journals page provides teachers with a centralized view of each student’s music lessons, assignments, and practice logs. This makes it easy to track progress, manage practice goals, and ensure students stay on track between lessons.

Selecting a Student

• If you teach at multiple studios, use the drop-down menu to select the correct studio.
• Select the student whose music journal you want to view.

Viewing Lesson Journal Entries

• Entries are organized by lesson date.
• Numbers next to each lesson date show how many assignments were added for that lesson.
• Click any lesson to view:
  • Notes from the previous lesson.
  • Assignments for the current lesson.
  • Plans for the next lesson.

Adding Practice Assignments

• Click the Add Practice Assignments button to assign new songs or skills for the student.
• Students can then include these assignments in their Practice Plan Creator within their MusicTeacherNotes family accounts.

Viewing Practice Logs

• Click the Open Practice Plan button to see how much practice a student has logged and which goals have been completed.
