For younger students learning piano, guitar, violin, or any other musical instrument, practice often requires a little extra encouragement. MusicTeacherNotes includes several built-in motivational rewards to make practicing more engaging and rewarding. One of these is the Perfect Practice Award, earned when a student completes an entire practice plan. It’s just one of many incentives designed to help students meet their music practice goals.
The MusicTeacherNotes Practice Plan Creator allows parents or students to create structured practice plans that set clear goals for each lesson period. A MusicTeacherNotes practice plan is more than just a practice schedule—it specifies exactly how many times or how many minutes each skill should be practiced. This clarity helps prevent the frustration often associated with getting a child to practice a musical instrument.
When a practice plan is generated, all assigned practice days on the Family Calendar appear in orange. When the student completes their required practice for the day, the color changes from orange to green. Once all assigned days are completed, the entire plan turns green.
When all practice days in the plan turn green, the student earns the Perfect Practice Award.
Each Perfect Practice Award also earns the student 50 Music Bucks, which can be redeemed for parent-set rewards.
Both music teachers and parents can view award achievements, helping to encourage and celebrate student progress. All motivational tools, including the Perfect Practice Award, are included with every student account connected to a Premium teacher’s studio.
